2008 – another exciting year ahead for our club!!! January 11, 2008

Hi everyone! A post from Stina for a change!
Hope you are well and that you survived the holidays. Have a great 2008!
We have all had a bit of a break over xmas and new year and now it is time to get going again. Thursday night swimming and training started on 10 January and Friday nights will follow (I am not sure when, will have to check with Cynthia!).
Wednesday nights will get busier as our evenings get lighter and the water warmer!
Course wise things are in the pipeline too – Frank is running 2 x 2hour basic lifesaving skills courses for adults. They are on Tues 15th and Tues 22nd Jan from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the clubhouse. These sessions are full but Frank is scheduling more dates in February. A Surf Beach Lifeguard award is starting in March, both here in Eastbourne and one with our friends in Seaford.
The club house is looking better by the day, I saw the new heater when we popped in the other day, should help to keep us warm while the weather is still chilly and wet…
Also membership fees for 2008 are due!!! Please pay next time you come down to the pool or the club.
Well I will sign off now. I am working (believe it or not!) on a newsletter and a new flyer etc. I hope to have these ready for you all very soon!
